I primarily compose music, but I can also license my existing library or perform other assistant or collaborative duties below.

Custom Music

We’ve all felt and heard it before - a stunning visual film or commercial with incredible writing, but when the music comes in, it doesn’t sit quite right, it feels forced or has a different pace than the editing. Using stock music is affordable and quick, but it doesn’t always connect with your viewer.
Hiring me to write a score that draws out the emotion you’re intending your viewer to feel will not only improve the overall experience for everyone, but it will help leave the impression you want.

Score Preparation

I can prepare your score in nearly any format you need, from writing out a string quartet with individual parts for a recording session or preparing a full orchestral filmscore-specific score (with enlarged time signatures and visual cues).
I work exclusively in the latest edition of Finale and have extensive experience preparing scores in filmscore formats.

Audio Editing

Through decades of editing, fixing, and adjusting my own recordings and session players, I have acquired skills to edit audio at a professional level. Whether for individual audio files or groups of stems or stereo files.

Licensing

Most of us have probably also been in the position where we have a great visual to show, but little wiggle room in the budget to hire a custom composer. Stock music is a great option here. Most of my music is licensable for use in nearly all forms of media.

MIDI Mockup

If you have a full, or reduced, score or horribly disorganized MIDI project, I can clean it up and prepare a finished MIDI mockup of your project. Depending on how involved it needs to be, I can include all MIDI CC data that is necessary, too.
I work in Apple Logic Pro X, but can provide MIDI files or Logic project folders.

Musician Acquisition

I have been in the music industry for decades and attended one of the most prestigious music schools in the world, in addition to having lived all over the country. I have a deep network of musicians for recording sessions for nearly every instrument, and if it’s that unusual of a need, I can probably find a player through my connections.
